Kit Installation |
This
section demonstrates the more difficult installation scenarios.
It is important to note that in each of the following
examples, the material is stretched during application.
Pay close attention to this, as this material's ability
to be stretched is the single best tool available to install
the film over any surface.

| Contoured
Mirrors |
|
This
sequence of pictures shows our paint protection material
being installed on small, highly contoured mirrors.
This type of installation requires you to stretch out
as many wrinkles as possible and then "compress"
the remaining wrinkles for a smooth finish. The same
principle is involved on small radius fender tips such
as the 88-99 Chevrolet C/K Series Pick-up, 98-up Ford
Ranger, 98-up Mazda B Series Pick-up, etc...

Heavily
Contoured Bumpers
|
|
This
sequence shows the installation procedure on a Porsche
993 bumper. This installation is very similar to the
installation on the front fascia of the Porsche Boxster,
Porsche 996, Porsche 928, Porsche 944 Turbo, Ferrari
360 Modena, Mazda Miata, etc... Any front fascia which
has a compound curve (curved both horizontally and vertically)
along the nose would be installed using this technique.

| Stretching
Over Valleys |
|
With
the shapes of new cars and trucks becoming more aerodynamic,
the need for stretching it is becoming more common during
installation of our paint protection kits. This stretching
facilitates installation by helping to pull out wrinkles
along the edges of the kit. This technique, though similar
to the scenario above, demonstrates a few differences
that need to be pointed out. This type of installation
is common on vehicles such as the 99-up Toyota Tundra,
96-up Mercedes E Class, Mercedes ML Class, 98-up Ford
Ranger, 98-up Mazda B Series Pick-up, 99-up Jeep Grand
Cherokee, etc...

| Extreme
Stretching |
| Some
installations require maximum stretching to achieve the
desired results. It the next sequence of photos, you will
see a few examples of this scenario. |

| Headlight
Kit Installation |
| Dry
Installation |
| The
dry installation technique works best on smaller lights
such as fog lamps and parking lamps. This process may
also be used on headlamps which use a diffuser type lens
such as the ones shown below. The dry installation technique
is NOT recommended for clear lenses. |

| Wet
Installation |
| Though
this method can be used on any light, the wet installation
method is best suited for large and clear lenses. This
method eliminates any small bubbles being trapped between
the lens and the cover providing a beautiful, professional
looking installation. |

| Highly
Contoured Lenses |
This
type of lens, previously thought to be impossible to cover,
can be found on many of the newer cars such as the 99-up
Mercury Cougar, 2000 Toyota Celica, 98-up Mitsubishi 3000GT,
99-up Lincoln LS, etc... We have found that the properties
of our material make it very much possible to provide
protection for these vehicles.
