Car Axent Headlight
Protection Kits
|
|
Technical Information
|
| |
| Product Description |
|
Car Axent Headlight Protection Kits
are manufactured from a press polished thermoplastic
vinyl material treated with a durable highly polished
finish to form a flexible optically clear sheet. This
material offers scratch resistance, dimensional stability,
excellent clarity and weathering capabilities, as
well as good RF resistance. Each meets or exceeds
the material requirements of the Department of Transportation
(DOT) and the American National Standards (ANSI) Code
for safetyglazing materials for motor vehicles operating
on land and highways (Z26.1), including luminous transmittance
(test #2), chemical resistance (test #23), and weathering
(test #16). Additionally, Car Axent headlight kits
meet United States FMVSS 205 and Canadian CMVSS 205.

|
|
3M ScotchgardTM
High Performance Protective Films are noted
for their overall excellent performance. These
rugged, yellowing-resisting urethane films protect
against stone chips, bug damage abrasion and
weathering while allowing a vehicle's color
brilliance to show through and its design intent
to be maintained. Approved by automotive OEMs,
these durable films are flexible, conformable
and easy to apply. Paint protection films, known
as PUL 0612 and PUL 1212 at the OEM level, are
available in rolls of varying widths.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Performance
statements are based upon representative experience
from testing throughout the United States; however,
actual performance will be determined by substrate
selection and preparation, exposure conditions,
and maintenance of the marking. When applied,
or when processed and applied according to 3M
recommended procedures, an effective performance
life of approximately five years may be expected.

Values given are typical
and are not for use as specifications. If a
specification is desired, a custom specification
will be prepared. Any requests for a specification
should be submitted to your local 3M representative.

|
|
It is recommended
that temperatures of 13ºC - 32ºC (55ºF
- 90ºF) and 44% - 55% relative humidity
be maintained in the film storage location.
Film should be used within one year of purchase.

These values
represent typical data when tested to major
urethane specifications and should not be used
for product approval.
